Introducing: $TOPS Tokenomics

We’ve been quietly building the first Edge AI Network on PEAQ for the past year. And today, we’re finally ready to talk about its tokenomic.
If you’re running Edge Devices, building Edge AI Agents and dApps, or just trying to understand how we design the sustain system itself, this post is for you.

Allocation Map
This isn’t just some staking game or token farming loop. The token flows are performance-based + real compute = real rewards.
Here’s how supply breaks down:

Why $TOPS exists?
You can think of $TOPS as three things:
-
Incentive Tool: Aligns incentives across edge device runners, builders, and contributors.
-
Reward Mechanism: Rewards edge AI compute for low latency AI inference and model execution
-
Governance Key: unlocks control over DAO protocols and reallocations
Edge Operator Emissions (The Core Engine)
We reward edge device operators based on 3 key metrics:
-
Uptime
-
Task throughput (Edge services + AI/ML workloads)
-
Location density
The monthly emission rate decays over 120 months to keep long-term inflation under control.
Unclaimed tokens after 120 months? Up to the DAO to reallocate, burn, or roll into new incentives.
iG3 Device is compute-as-mining, not hash-as-mining.
TLDR
-
Low initial supply (6%)
-
Long term vesting (24-96 months)
-
Edge Device First, not VC First
-
Smart decay to avoid runaway inflation
-
